Today we honor one of the original founders of the Academy, Mary Pickford.
At the peak of her career, she replied to so many fans, the LA Post Office had her use cancelled stamps, "thus saving Uncle Sam the expense of hiring extra clerks just to cancel the Pickford Postage."
